4 Slots Of Ram In Laptop
Solved: In windows 10 under RAM in task manager it says 'Slots used: 1 of 2' i am searching my laptop on-line suggests that it only has - 6123109. What Is a RAM Slot? RAM slot, socket, or a memory slot is a gap on your computer’s motherboard where you can insert your RAM. Depending on the motherboard type, there might be up to four memory sockets. If you have a high-tier motherboard, you can even have more. In looking at my options, I found that within the Performance tap of Task Manager that it shows my laptop having 'Slots used: 2 of 4' so I had hoped to use the other two ports for additional memory. However, according to the hardware specifications for my laptop, there are only 2 x SODIMM slots available for use. My motherboard is a ASUS Prime Z270-P and the CPU is a I7-6700K. The RAM is Ballistix Sport DDR4-2666 Slots 1 and 2 on my M/B work fine but if I try 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 then all I get is a blank screen. The fans etc are running but nothing is on the screen.
